It’s always a hot topic on everyone’s mind, so we decided to address it again! So, what can your kids wear (and not wear) at North Hi Mount Elementary? Read further to get the details!

Schedule: When you’re making your uniform purchases, please note that your children will wear uniform-style clothing as described below three days per week (Tu-Wed-Th).  On the first day of the school week, even after Monday holidays, your Eager Eagles can wear their House shirts or a solid shirt in their House color. Fridays are reserved for NHM Spirit Wear, college shirts, and now we’re allowed to wear Stripling and Height Spirit Wear! Approved uniform bottoms are required everyday.

Where to Buy: Uniforms can be scarce in stores at the beginning of the year, so if you’re having trouble finding variety, check out consignment stores like Kid-to-Kid, Facebook resale groups and online stores such as primary.com and Children’s Place. Other favorite stores for NHM parents include Wal-mart, Gap, Old Navy, and Target. If you are a family in need, please reach out to the guidance counselor.

Spirit Wear: The Eagle Spirit Shop will be open approximately every six weeks and when it is opened, the sales will be announced via the weekly Smore. Spirit wear is high quality, locally sourced and includes t-shirts that can be worn on Fridays, adult wear, and outerwear and accessories. Spirit wear can be picked up at the school so you do not have to pay shipping costs, or you can choose to ship to your home. Once your child is sorted into a House, you can purchase your child’s House shirt in the Eagle Spirit Shop, too. We don’t keep spirit wear “in stock” - it is produced “to order” at the time of sale, so if you miss the sale, you will need to wait for the next one. Styles/designs change frequently and spirit wear is a fantastic way to support and represent our school. *NOTE: Stripling and AHHS Spirit Wear are not NHM fundraisers.

Give: Please consider donating your outgrown uniforms, spirit wear, and house shirts to the guidance counselor who can use them to provide families in need with gently worn uniforms. For more information, please contact Cathy Rogers at 817-815-1500 or Dr. Pilar Schetz at pilar.schetz@fwisd.org
